Synagogue
A synagogue (/ˈsɪnəɡɒɡ/; from Ancient Greek συναγωγή, synagogē, 'assembly'; Hebre: בית כנסת bet knesset, 'house of assembly', or בית תפילה bet tefila, "house of prayer"; Yiddisk: שול shul, Ladino: אשנוגה esnoga, 'bright as fire'; or קהל kahal) is a Jewish (mainly) or Samaritan (rarely) house of worship. Synagogues have a place for prayer (the main sanctuary) and may also have rooms for study, a social hall, and offices. Some have a separate room for Torah study, called the בית מדרש beth midrash, lit. "house of study".

Judaism Under Quarantine
We continue to hold our Shabbat Services via Zoom. As everyone comes together from the safety of their own home, Zoomagogue has offered a vibrant way for Congregation Etz Chaim to gather in prayer and celebration.
